WHO SINNED?
Texts: John 9:1-3

Introduction
I want to welcome all of you in the name of Jesus Christ. I want
us to follow today’s study carefully as the Lord opens our eyes to
some scriptural truths according to His will.
Bible Texts: John 9:1-3
John.9.1 – And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind
from his birth.
John.9.2 – And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did
sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
John.9.3 – Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his
parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in
him.
Study
Before this chapter of the scriptures, we observe the profound
conversation between Jesus and the Jews where He revealed His
divinity, yet they failed to comprehend it. The Jews challenged
His claims, arguing that He could not be greater than Abraham,
as He was not even 50 years old. However, Jesus made the bold
statement that “before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58), a
declaration of His eternal existence and divinity. This infuriated
the Jews, and they took up stones to stone Him, but through a
supernatural means, Jesus passed through their midst and went
away unharmed.
This incident highlights the divine power of God to deliver us
even when we are surrounded by enemies. The Jews could have
succeeded in stoning Jesus, but the supernatural protection
